PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly accurate calculation of a motion vector between two screens. SOLUTION: Images of the first and second screens are each divided into a plurality of same regions, correlation values between a reference image segmented from the first screen and each of comparing images segmented from the second screen while shifting its position is obtained for each of the divided regions, the maximum values Mh, ..., Mk, Mj, ... of the correlation values are calculated for each of the divided regions, and a motion vector of the second screen for the first screen is calculated using a motion vector for each of the divided regions in which the remaining maximum values Mk, Mj, ... other than the maximum value Mh, ... below a predetermined threshold are calculated, among the maximum values.
