PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cover for a cutting device such as a food slicer using a circular blade, which can be easily installed on the circular blade for safety in other work than cutting. SOLUTION: An elastic member 3 of rubber or the like is projected from a back surface of the safety cover 2 formed as a plate in such size as to cover the hole circular blade 1. A mounting hole 4 is provided at a center part of the circular blade 1. As the elastic member 3 projected from the back surface of the safety cover 2 is engaged with the mounting hole 4 with clearance, the elastic member 3 is compressed lengthwise to diametrically expand. The elastic member 3 is thus tightly applied to an inner surface of the mounting hole 4 to fix the safety cover 2. As the elastic member 3 is held on a support rod 5, and inserted into the mounting hole 4, the support rod 5 is pulled up by use of an operation lever 7 provided with a cam, so that the elastic member 3 can be compacted lengthwise.
