PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device and an ion generation system in which the number of wirings can be made less. SOLUTION: The ion generating device 20 is provided with an ion generating element 25, a heating element 30, and a switching part. The ion generating element has an ion generating electrode 29, and the ion generating electrode 29 generates positive ions and negative ions by being impressed with voltage. The heating element 30 heats the ion generating electrode 29. The switching part impresses voltage on the ion generating electrode 29 when blast of air is given and does not impress voltage on the ion generating electrode 29 when there is no blast of air.
