The lift has a hydraulically activated brake unit (105) operating between a lift cab (103) and a stationary brake (102). A pressure generator has the lift cab and a speed regulator (107) that cooperates with a speed regulator cord (108). The speed regulator cord is coupled with the pressure generator. The pressure generator has a pump device coupled with the speed regulator cord. An independent claim is also included for a method for braking a lift cab of a lift during an incorrect operating condition. |
