Adjustment control for vehicle tank cover

The adjuster consists of a second swivel lever (8') to pivot round the fixed axis (10') and otherwise round a tank cover (1) axis (11') so that this lever forms a parallelogram linkage together with the first powered adjuster lever (8). In this two projection lines (14,14') from the connecting line between lever (8') axis and the cover axis run parallel when projected onto a plane normal to the vertical. The two projection lines are of the same length. The lever facing the edge is bent or curved appropriate to the edge to adjoin the wall opening when open and thus the lever arm (15) between bend etc. (13) and tank cover lever (8) exceeds the length of the second lever arm (16). The lever (8) axis (10) is supported by the confining wall of the inbuilt trough (5) accessed via the wall opening as compared with lever (8') axis which thrusts off the opposing wall of the trough. The tank cover is loaded in the opening or closing sense by a spring plate depending on the cover movement.
