A portable terminal having a flexible LCD is provided to increase the convenience of usage by enabling a user to selectively use various functions through the UI(User Interface) as a flexible LCD gets withdrawn or unfolded. A portable terminal having a flexible LCD comprises a detecting part(50), a control part(10), and a display part(30). The detecting part detects what the flexible LCD gets withdrawn or unfolded. The control part extracts display information equivalent to a withdrawn length or an unfolded area, detected from the detected part, and issues an order to the display part, based on the extracted display information. The display part, based on the order from the control part, displays a screen suitable for the extracted display information on the flexible LCD.
