PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy plate for printing in which an unetched part is reduced, and coarsened pits are not produced in an electrolytic etching treatment stage, and to provide an aluminum alloy plate for printing whose surface part has a low Cu content. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy plate has a composition comprising, by weight, 0.1 to 0.5% Fe, 0.01 to 0.2% Si and 0.001 to 0.005% Cu, and in which the ratio between the Cu concentration (X) in the surface and the Cu concentration (Y) in the central part, (X/Y) is≤5.0. Regarding its production method, after hot rolling, a surface is etched by a fixed amount in the process of cold rolling or after the completion of final cold rolling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
