<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack having a stable output and a long life by suppressing drying and flooding phenomena of a fuel electrode in a stack. <P>SOLUTION: In this fuel cell stack having a plurality of modules in which a plurality of unit cells and separators are laminated with a gap forming a fuel gas passage between on one side of the unit cells, the entrances of each fuel gas passage are connected each other by an entrance manifold and its exits are connected each other by an exit manifold, and the exit manifold of one module is connected to the entrance manifold of the other module so that the flowing directions of the fuel gas are reversed between the modules adjacent to each other, the cross sectional area of the manifold of the module located on the downstream side is set smaller than the cross sectional area of the manifold of the module located on the upper stream side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
