PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a battery depending on the content of an abnormality even if the battery 5 is determined to be abnormal, and thereby to improve the utilization of the battery 5. SOLUTION: This charge control device of the battery 5 comprises a charge processing memory 12 that stores a variety of charge processing modes when the battery 5 is charged, and a battery-state detection device 13 that detects whether the abnormality exists in the battery 5 or not, and detects the content of the battery. The charge processing mode corresponding to the content of the abnormality detected by the battery-state detection device 13 is selected from among a variety of the charge processing modes in the charge processing memory 12, and the battery 5 is charged on the basis of this mode.
