PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of forming an image with a high quality of image at a high speed by efficiently executing a throw-away processing of ink to recover an nozzle of a recording head, a method for recovering the nozzle of the recording head, a program for recovering the nozzle of the recording head and a storing medium. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer has a recording head provided so as to be movable back and forth along the main scanning direction along the width direction of a recording medium, and delivering the ink from the nozzle on the process moving back and forth to print the image on the recording medium, a moving means for moving back and forth the recording head, and a controlling means for controlling a throw-away operation for throwing away the ink from the nozzle by driving the recording head after the recording head is moved to the outside of a recording region on the side of the recording medium.
