A digital door lock and an operation method thereof are provided to exclude a sensor for sensing users reaching a door and to reduce the consumption of power by using only the greatly fine current while the door is not opened and closed. A digital door lock is composed of a transponder and a door opening and closing device. The door opening and closing device comprises outer and inner door locks and a mortis connected to the outer and inner door locks. The inner door lock is composed of a motor(B-1) embedded inside; a first bevel gear-shaped gear(B-10) connected to a shaft of the motor; micro switches(B-99) installed at the left and right sides of the first gear; a second bevel gear-shaped gear(B-20) engaged with the first gear at right angle to change the rotational direction; a third gear(B-30) positioned in the rear side of the second gear and installed through a second gear through-hole of the second gear; a fourth gear(B-40) connected to the third gear and rotated; a fifth gear(B-50) connected to the lower part of the fourth gear to rotate together with the fourth gear; a breechblock connecting unit installed at the side of the fifth gear and connected to a breechblock operating unit of the mortis; a lever(B-60) disposed at the lower part of the fifth gear and turned together by the rotation of a handle; a latch connecting unit installed at the end of the center of the lever and connected to a latch operating unit of the mortise; a cam(B-70) integrated at the lower part of the lever and turned together with the handle; and the handle turned together with the cam and attached on the lower outer side of the inner door lock. |
