<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertisement providing system capable of providing detailed information according to a transmission source of a pop-up when requested for the detailed information on the pop-up related to content. <P>SOLUTION: A receiving device 10 receives content and pop-up data from a service server 20, and displays a pop-up indicated by the received pop-up data synchronously with reproduction of the received content. If operation is performed with a remote controller 100 in response to the displayed pop-up, the receiving device 10 transmits transmission source identification information indicating a transmission source to transmit the pop-up, to an advertiser server 30. The advertiser server 30 transmits detailed information according to the transmission source indicated by the received transmission source identification information to the receiving device 10.
