<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for setting STC waveform for simply setting the optimum STC waveform by matching with each job-site. <P>SOLUTION: The device for setting the STC waveform comprises: an address setting part 34 for setting an address corresponding to a distance up to an object target, i.e. the section of a receiving time; a margin variable amplification part 38 capable of controlling receiving electric power of a radar device by intensity of a direct current signal; a margin adjustment part 40 for adjusting the intensity of the direct current signal of the margin variable amplification part; an A/D conversion part 44 for A/D-converting the direct current signal from the margin variable amplification part 38 into a digital value; and a storing part 46 for storing the digital value by corresponding to the address set in the address setting part 34.
