<p>A electrophoresis display medium (2) comprises a pair of substrates (10, 20), which are opposed to each other and at least one of which is transparent, a display part (30) provided between the pair of substrates (10, 20), a plurality of first display particles (5) enclosed in the display part (30), and a plurality of separating particles (7) enclosed in the display part (30). Each separating particles (7) comprises main particles (71) having charging characteristics opposite to the first display particles (5), and a plurality of small particles (73) which have charging characteristics opposite to the main particles (71) and are smaller than the main particles (71) disposed on the surface of the main particles (71). The overall charging characteristics of all the particles including the main particles (71) and the plurality of small particles (73) are different from the charging characteristics of the first display particles (5).</p> |
