PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption heat pump device which has a comparatively small capacity, is built in cogeneration or the like to obtain high temperature hot water or vapor by the effective use of low quality exhaust heat, is small-sized with a small installation area, and is low in cost. SOLUTION: The absorption heat pump device comprises an absorber A, an evaporator E, a regenerator G and a condenser C. A concentrated solution in the regenerator G is led into the absorber A, absorbs refrigerant vapor from the evaporator E to generate heat by absorption, and heats a heated medium passing through high temperature water piping 14. A dilute solution is led into the regenerator G, heated with hot water in heat source hot water piping 18 in the regenerator G to generate refrigerant vapor to become a concentrated solution. The refrigerant vapor is led to the condenser C, condensed with cooling water in cooling water piping 20 to become a liquid refrigerant which is led into the evaporator E, heated with hot water in heat source hot water piping 16, and evaporated to become refrigerant vapor.
