摘要 The invention relates to a method for learning characteristic points of the geometrical control layout of an automatic gearbox. Said control layout comprises a selection path and several shift paths, said shift paths being arranged at a distance from one another and being positioned approximately perpendicularly to said selection path. A shift element can be moved inside this layout. Said shift element can be moved in two co-ordinate directions by means of an actuator device which is controlled via a learning programme control device. A sensor detects the movement of the actuating element in each of the two co-ordinate directions. The output signals of said sensor are conveyed to the programme control device as locating signals. The programme control device detects the actuating element reaching characteristic points in the control layout and the locating signals are allocated to characteristic points in a memory device of said programme control device. The inventive device is characterized in that the programme control device detects characteristic points as they are reached by the shift element both inside and outside the selection path so that the overall geometrical control layout is represented in the memory device and constantly updated.
