Position information and estimated arrival time can be provided to a versatile telephone with a simple operation without using a special dedicated service. A navigation device detects a call arrival from a telephone of a person wanting to know information about the vehicle, identifies the report destination telephone number of the person to which the current place and the estimated arrival time is reported according to the detected call arrival, refers to telephone number data according to the identified report destination telephone number, identifies the location of the fixed telephone of the person to be reported, detects the current place by using the GPS function, computes the estimated arrival time when the vehicle arrives at the identified location from the detected current place, and transmits the position information on the current place and/or the information on the computed estimated arrival time to the fixed telephone of the person to be reported.
