A rotation shaft supporting device for a compressor is provided to interpose a movable elastic element between a supporting element and a lower bearing for preventing a load of the lower bearing in association with rotation force of a rotation shaft, thereby improving the reliability of the compressor. A rotation shaft supporting device for a compressor includes a supporting element mounted in a casing, and having a housing(63) coupled with the lower bearing and a lower frame(64) fixed with the housing by bolts(B) or welding. A lower bearing(61) is inserted into the supporting element, and rotatively coupled with a rotation shaft(37) of a driving motor for rotating together with the rotation shaft to transmit rotation force to a compression part, wherein the lower frame of the supporting element supports a lower area of the rotation shaft. An elastic element(70) is interposed between the supporting element and the lower bearing for elastically supporting the rotation shaft in the radial direction. The supporting element has a housing(63) coupled with the lower bearing and a lower frame(64) supporting the rotation shaft and the lower bearing and fixed with the housing by bolts(B) or welding.
