A structure for reinforcing a headliner of a vehicle is provided to prevent bending of the headliner while transporting or during the installation by installing reinforcing members having outward bended parts composed of cardboard papers allowing attachment the reinforcing members on two sides of an opening for a sunroof, thereby providing a lighter and cost effective headliner. A structure of reinforcing a headliner of a vehicle comprises a component composed of a pelt, papers, urethane foams, synthetic resin foaming agents or non-woven fabrics, an outer coat applied on the outer sides of the component, and an opening for a sunroof formed on one side of the middle section wherein reinforcing frames(14) are installed around the opening. Reinforcing members(20) are installed on two sides of the opening for the sunroof. Layers of cardboard papers are compressed and molded to form outward bended parts(22) on side ends of the reinforcing members, and the outward bended parts are attached to the headliner. A plurality of through holes(24) are perforated on the outward bended parts whereto a hot melt bonding agent(26) is applied to attach the bended parts to the headliner.
