The equipment has an elongated cushion (7) with a hook strip for fixing the cushion on a patient`s upper limb maintaining device (1). A removable fixation unit (8) has a hook strip (11) cooperating with a cover of the cushion to fix an arm of the patient on the cushion, where the cover is made of raised looped fabric such as polyamide and filled with polyester fibers. The fixation unit has a band (9) with an outer surface made of raised looped fabric and a hooking tab cooperating with the outer surface.
