<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bond a resin and a rubber directly and firmly without using an adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: A directly bonded composite of a resin member and a vulcanized rubber member is obtained by combining a vulcanized rubber member vulcanized with a radical generating agent (organic peroxide, etc.) and a resin member comprising a thermoplastic resin having in average at least 2 hydrogen or sulfur atoms per molecule; wherein the hydrogen or sulfur atom has 0.006 or higher orbital interaction energy coefficient S represented by formula (1): S=(C<SB>HOMO, n</SB>)<SP>2</SP>/¾E<SB>c</SB>-E<SB>HOMO, n</SB>¾+(C<SB>LUMO, n</SB>)<SP>2</SP>/¾E<SB>c</SB>-E<SB>LUMO, n</SB>¾; provided that in formula (1), E<SB>c</SB>is an orbital energy(eV) of a radical, C<SB>HOMO, n</SB>is a molecular-orbital coefficient of a highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) of an n-th hydrogen or sulfur atom constituting a basic unit of the resin, E<SB>HOMO, n</SB>is an orbital energy (eV) of the HOMO, C<SB>LUMO, n</SB>is a molecular-orbital coefficient of a lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of the n-th hydrogen or sulfur atom constituting the basic unit of the resin, E<SB>LUMO, n</SB>is an orbital energy (eV) of the LUMO and that, each of the above is a value calculated by a semiempirical molecular orbital method MOPACPM3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
