<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely rotate a rotor by preventing the reverse rotation of the rotor motor, at the start of rotation of a sensorless brushless DC motor. <P>SOLUTION: The brushless DC motor is provided with a motor rotor having magnetic poles and a motor stator having a drive coil, wherein a direct current having a specified drive pattern is supplied to the drive coil to drive the brushless DC motor. The brushless DC motor further includes a revolving pulse generating means 10 for outputting a rotating pulse signal having the same period as the motor rotor, a motor drive pattern storage means 11 for storing the motor drive pattern, corresponding to the rotating pulse signal, including the number of drive patterns corresponding to the number of phases of the motor and a start pattern to supply direct current to the drive coil at the start of rotation of the motor, and a motor drive signal generating means 12 for generating the motor drive signal to decide the motor drive current to be supplied to the drive coil. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
