[Also in Division F2] A plurality of sealed magnetic reed contact units 32a, 32b, 33a, 33b are operated due to the movement of permanent magnet assemblies 14, 15, 16 adjustably mounted on a bar 17 attached to the removable cap 12 of a non- magnetic tube 10 attached to the operating stem (not shown) of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 11. Each assembly 14, 15, 16 comprises permanent magnet elements 25, 26, 27 cemented or magnetically held together on each side of the bar 17, each element 25 having its upper end cemented into a collar 22 adjustably retained in position on the bar 17 by a set screw 23.
