<p>The device has an optical sensor (105) e.g. photoelectric sensor, detecting contour points. The optical sensor and/or a rotationally symmetrical measuring object (2) are adjusted by a positioning device with a drive device (10) e.g. electric motor. The optical sensor is formed for detecting a mark arranged on the measuring object. A conveying device (3) is arranged for conveying the measuring object into a measuring position. The optical sensor is connected with an electronic control device.
