A sponge roll made of cord materials is provided to prevent the surface from being non-uniformly worn out, torn, or damaged during molding a tire by rotating a sponge roll body along a molding drum and to reduce the cost for exchanging the sponge roll by extending the sponge roll exchanging period. The sponge roll(100) made of cord materials to attach parts supplied to a rotating molding drum in order, to the molding drum is composed of: a roll body(110); sponge(120) of the predetermined thickness wound around the outer peripheral surface of the roll; and a mesh cord(130) attached to the outer peripheral surface of the sponge to reinforce the surface. The mesh cord is made of one of nylon, polyester, and rayon.
