FIELD: manufacture of porous ceramic articles; manufacture of filter elements in metallurgy, mechanical engineering and chemical industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of charge containing talc, kaolin, alumina and feldspar, molding the blank by slip casting method and subsequent annealing. Charge is subjected to preliminary mechanic-chemical activation in aqueous medium at addition of disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid - trilon. ^ EFFECT: enhanced strength of porous cordierite ceramics. ^ 1 tbl |
