A dispensing support system (1) comprising a responsible pharmacist identifying means (7) provided in each container (14) of a drug rack (3) containing drugs (D), for identifying a responsible pharmacist, a storing means (25) storing pharmacist data, and a control means (24). The control means (24) prepares a prescription table by mutually associating input prescription data with pharmacist data stored in the storing means (25) and stores the prescription table into the storing means (25). When a drug (D) is to be taken out from the drug rack (3), the control means (24) refers to the prescription table based on the pharmacist data on a pharmacist identified by the responsible pharmacist identifying means (7) and judges whether or not a pharmacist identified by the responsible pharmacist identifying means (7) is permitted to dispense the drug (D).
