PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise reproduction response by starting reproduction processing corresponding to the request of a user in a short waiting time period when a user operation is performed during the reproduction of content data. SOLUTION: The content data is classified into a data block group with high priority related to the user operation and the other data block group with low priority. When the content data is read from a hard disk unit 24 and stored in a buffer memory 34, the priority data block group is selectively read first and stored in the buffer memory 34, and then, the non-priority data block group is read and stored in the buffer memory 34. Read data blocks are stored in a free space when the free space exists in the buffer memory 34.
