PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidification machine and its control method capable of positively carrying out deodorization and drying by removing odor components adhered to a surface of clothing or the like being an object to be dried, but also odor components adhered in a gap or the like of fiber. SOLUTION: The dehumidification machine is provided with a refrigerating cycle means 35 provided in a casing 1 having outside air suction openings 2a, 2b and a blow-out opening 7, and comprised of a compressor 21, a condenser 16, a pressure reducer 37, and an evaporator 11 sequentially connected by a coolant pipe arrangement, and a solenoid valve 38 connected between the compressor 21 and the evaporator 11, a first air blowing means 12 for passing outside air sucked in from the suction opening 2a through the evaporator 11 and blowing it out from the blow-out opening 7, a second air blowing means 17 for passing the outside air sucked in from the suction opening 2b through the condenser 16 and blowing it out from the blow-out opening 7, a temperature and humidity detecting means 24 for detecting an indoor temperature and humidity, and a control means 25 for controlling the refrigerating cycle means 35, the first and second air blowing means 12, 17, or the like. An operation mode of dehumidification operation, humidification operation, and dehumidification operation is provided in the control means 25 to carry out drying and deodorization of the object 40 to be dried.
