PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant and an anti-aging agent and a skin cosmetic and a food and drink for beauty culture comprising an extract from Gentiana farreri. SOLUTION: The antioxidant comprises the extract from the Gentiana farreri. A mode having at least any of radical eliminating actions, singlet oxygen eliminating actions and hydrogen peroxide eliminating actions is preferable. The anti-aging agent comprises the extract from the Gentiana farreri.
