A method of setting a media player for a service or playing a component is provided to set a player by using a specific resource by an application such that a service or a component is played to control system resources accurately. A specific resource required to provide a specific service is reserved. A player for playing a media signal is generated(S200). The player is set such that the player implements a resource operating interface to use the specific resource(S202). The player using the specific resource is set by implementing a service context interface. The player controls the media signal by using the reserved resource.
