摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-aligning roller bearing capable of reducing rolling resistance of a bearing without changing dimensions of peripheral parts. <P>SOLUTION: A cross-sectional substantially triangular free guide ring 31 is provided between end surfaces of rollers 17, 17. In the free guide ring 31, side surfaces 31a adjacent to end surfaces of the rollers 17, 17 are formed in a substantially arc shape and built in a retainer 16. One end (a lower end in Figure 2) comes into contact with an inner ring 13 so that an end surface 17b of the cylindrical roller 17 and a side surface 31a of the free guide ring 31 are formed in a point-contact state. When the end surface 17b and side surface 31a are brought into contact with each other and rolled, the contact surface of the end surface 17b and side surface 31a is small.
