PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition excellent in heat resistance and oxidation resistance, and to provide machine components with the same sealed up therein. SOLUTION: The grease composition comprises a base oil and a thickening agent, wherein the base oil comprises a straight-chain polyalkylated diphenyl ether (a 1-position addition form), a branched polyalkylated diphenyl ether (a 2-position addition form) and a straight-chain-branched polyalkylated diphenyl ether (a both 1-position and 2-position addition form). This grease composition is characterized in being greater than 51% in the 1-site addition rate of the alkyl groups of the polyalkylated diphenyl ethers and containing a total of 40-70 mass% of trialkylated diphenyl ether and tetraalkylated diphenyl ether.
