A system and a method for observing an astronomical body with a mobile terminal are provided easily to collect astronomical observation data by receiving astronomical electric wave through an antenna installed to each mobile terminal and composing collected astronomical electric wave data in an astronomical observation server. Each mobile terminal(100a,100b) includes a GPS(Global Positioning System) location register and the antenna for receiving the astronomical electric wave. The astronomical observation server(140) receives GPS coordinates and the astronomical electric wave data from each mobile terminal through each MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(120a,120b). The astronomical observation server includes a composer for composing the received astronomical electric wave data. An electric wave storing part(150) storing the astronomical electric wave received from the mobile terminals, an electric wave composer(160) composing the astronomical electric wave data, and an astronomical image storing part(170) storing a composed astronomical image are connected the astronomical observation server.
