A method of transporting and cleaning tuberous roots includes heap transporting, distributing thereof, supplying onto cleaning working elements, cleaning from soil and plant additives and taking away. After heap distributing and transporting by cleaning working elements tuberous roots are forcedly caught by figured catcher, fixed, lifted up and forcedly pushed along the separate direction by giving acceleration thereto by means of thrower. A device for root transportation and cleaning comprises a feeding table, a horizontal block of three cleaning rolls formed by mounted in series cantilever balance springs fixed by one ends on hubs connected to drive shafts, baffle brushes and unloader. After the last cleaning roll, on the same long axis, drive figured roots catcher is mounted with a gap, diameter of this is larger than diameter of the roll above which blade thrower is mounted which blades have arc-like shape and the counterrotate relative to the catcher. A drive baffle roll is mounted above the thrower. Side parts of the catcher and thrower have immovable stripping combs.
