The proposed digital unit for measuring concentration of substance in liquid by the absorption rate of monochromatic optical radiation contains a monochromatic optical radiation source, two focusing lenses, a semitransparent plate, a cuvette with a measuring chamber and a reference chamber, a photodetector, two voltage amplifiers, a thermoelectric converter, an analog-to-digital converter, a microprocessor control unit, a random-access memory unit, a read-only memory unit, a code-to-displacement transducer, and elements for supplying liquid to the cuvette and draining the liquid from the cuvette. The proposed device id distinctive by its enhanced accuracy in measuring concentrations of the substance in a wide range and the possibility to use all the ranger of the output signal of the photodetector with a logarithmic transfer characteristic.
