PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens driving apparatus by which a lens is held at a prescribed position in an optical axis direction while reducing power consumption, and also, which has improved impact resistance, where the vibration and backlash of the lens holder are less likely to occur due to external impact, and to obtain a manufacturing method of a coil body used for the lens driving apparatus. SOLUTION: The lens driving apparatus 1 includes, the lenses 15 and 17, the lens holders 3 and 5, a guiding member 13 for guiding the movement of the lens holder; a guided part 25 provided on the lens holder; the coil body 23 provided on the lens holder; and a magnet 12 provided along the moving direction of the lens holder. The lens driving apparatus 1 makes the lenses move in the optical axis direction, in reply to the power supply to the coil body. The coil body includes a position-holding magnetic body 21, the position-holding magnetic body is attracted by the magnetic force of the magnet, and the guiding member and the guided part of the lens holder are brought into press contact with each other; and when the movement of the lens holder is stopped, the lens holder is held at the prescribed position by a frictional force between the guided part and the guiding member.
