PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus for an optical device, capable of manufacturing the optical device highly accurately. SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus 1 includes: a placing section 50 that holds a cross dichroic prism 144 at a predetermined position; three six-axis position adjusting device 30 that holds each optical modulating device 141 and adjusts the position of each optical modulating device 141 relative to the cross dichroic prism 144; an adjusting light source device that introduces a luminous flux for the position adjustment to each optical modulating device 141; and a luminous flux detecting device 95 that detects image light via the optical modulating device 141 and cross dichroic prism 144. The luminous flux detecting device 95 includes: three CCD cameras 951 that have three imaging elements, each of which is provided for corresponding color light in order to image modulated light; and a near-infrared ray CCD camera 952 having a near-infrared ray imaging element that has a peak wavelength of 600 nm or greater in detection sensitivity to a luminous flux of a red wavelength region and images modulated light of the red wavelength region.
