PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a positional adjustment of a label printing, etc. possible by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A printing device with a function for reading data from a portable recording medium mounted and printing it comprises a means for shifting to an image selection mode in which the selection of an image to be printed is received, a means for receiving the demand of the positional adjustment for printing onto a printing medium after shifting to the image selection mode, a means for shifting to a printing positional adjustment mode when receiving the demand of the positional adjustment and a means for returning to the state of the image selection mode before shifting to the positional adjustment mode concerned. The printing device displays as an animation the changed direction of a printing position received from a user on the display of an operation panel. When receiving the selection of the image to be printed, a frame (rounded frame of the form of label) showing the range of printing is displayed on the image to be printed.
