<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deposition of an unfixed image onto a first rotator and a second rotator of an image heating means for pinching and conveying a transfer material, in an image forming apparatus having edgeless printing function. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has the image-heating means 13 for heating an image on the transfer material, while pinching and conveying the transfer material with a heating nip part N that is formed between the first rotator 21 and the second rotator 22. The leading edge of the transfer material, carried to the image heating means, abuts against the second rotator, and a peripheral speed V2 of the second rotator is slower than the drift speed V1 of the transfer material carried to the image-heating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
