1,167,500. Manufacture of building elements. S. M. NILSSON and P.-O. JONELL. 14 Sept., 1967 [l9 Sept., l966], No. 41954/67. Heading E1W. In a method of connecting slab shaped elements 1, 2 to form construction elements of a predetermined thickness, such as flooring beams, the lower slab 1 is placed with its ends upon a support 8, 9, the upper slab 2 is held, for example by suction devices 13, at a distance above the slab 1 determined by the position of abutments 11 engaged by the upper surface of the slab 2, and a hardenable mass 3 is injected into the space between the elements and is allowed to harden. The mass 3 may be a foamable mass for example a polyurethane foam, or may be non-porous rubber. The invention is applicable to construction elements formed from three or more superimposed slab elements. The lower slab 1 may be channel shaped and may contain insulation material such as rock wool. The slabs 1, 2 may be of reinforced concrete. |
