<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing outputted matter from being maliciously or taken away by mistake. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a first reader for reading a medium ID stored in a non-contact IC chip provided on a transfer medium from a medium ID detection region; a medium ID detecting means for detecting and outputting the medium ID that is not readable by the first reader from the medium ID detection region; a second reader for reading a user ID stored in a non-contact IC chip carried by the user in a user detection region; and an crime-prevention output means for performing crime-prevention output so as to operate a crime-prevention apparatus based on the output from the second reader, indicating that the user ID has become incapable of reading, and the output from the medium ID detecting means, indicating that the prescribed medium ID is not readable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
