PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility of an ink ribbon being broken off, when a plurality of images are printed simultaneously, in a sublimation type printer. SOLUTION: At first, an image to be printed is divided into two to the right and left. When executing a printing from the new ink surface of the ink ribbon as shown in Fig. 1 (A), the left half 2 of the first image (A) is printed at first using the front half of the ink surface, while the right half 3 of the image (A) is printed using the rear half of the ink surface. When printing the second image (B), after rewinding the ink ribbon, the image (B) is printed using the unused portion of the ink surface as shown in the Fig. 1 (B). Namely, the front half of the ink surface is used to print the right half 4 of the image (B), while the rear half of the ribbon is used to print the left half 5 of the image (B).
