A two-bill detecting system of an automatic bill receiving machine is provided to triply detect two bills by using a CIS(Contact Image Sensor) unit, an MICR(Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) unit, and a mechanical detecting unit. A two-bill detecting system of an automatic bill receiving machine for detecting overlapping of two bills(p) transferred along a carrying path(21) of a carrying unit and inserted into the automatic bill receiving machine is composed of a CIS unit(30) for obtaining information about images of bills; an MICR unit(40) obtaining magnetic characters of the bill; a mechanical detecting unit(50) detecting the overlapped bills by sensing the thickness of the bill in passing the transferred bills; and a two-bill judging logic unit(60) for checking whether two bills are overlapped or not by using information received from the CIS unit, the MICR unit, and the mechanical detecting unit and selectively controlling forward and reverse driving of the carrying unit according to the result. |
