Provided are a method for preparing a coupled low vinyl block copolymer, and a coupled low vinyl block copolymer prepared by the method which is free from the impurities containing bromine. The method comprises the steps of reacting a living lithium terminated polymer represented by P-Li and an alkyltrialkoxysilane coupling agent represented by R-Si-(OR')3 in a ratio of Si:Li of 0.3-1.0 by mol to prepare a coupled block copolymer composition; and collecting the obtained coupled block copolymer composition, wherein P is a copolymer chain comprising a polymer block A comprising at least one C8-C18 monoalkenyl arene, a polymer block A comprising at least one C4-C12 conjugated diene; R is a C3-C12 branched alkyl group; and R' is a methyl group.
