PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing unit having high precision in operation at low cost. SOLUTION: The sliding bearing unit 1 comprises a shaft member 2, and a bearing member 3 arranged on the outer diameter side of the shaft member 2. The bearing surface of the bearing member 3 is formed on the inner peripheral surface 4a of an electroform section 4 formed by electroforming, and a bearing clearance between the inner peripheral surface 4a of the electroform section 4 and the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member 2 is set up to be negative.
