<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement compressor provided with a hinge mechanism, capable of achieving smooth motion with small friction resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the variable displacement compressor, a plurality of pistons are disposed substantially in parallel to a main shaft, and a rotor is provided at the main shaft to be rotatable with it. A swash plate cam to convert the torque of the rotor into the reciprocation of the piston is connected to the rotor through the hinge mechanism to vary an inclination as the swash plate cam is guided by the hinge mechanism to slide on the main shaft so as to vary the stroke quantity of the piston. The hinge mechanism is composed to bear an axial load as a rolling element is provided between the rotor and the swash plate cam to get in slide-contact with each of the rotor and the swash plate cam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
