PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method and rolling equipment for manufacturing a metallic sheet having no camber with simpler equipment than conventional one. SOLUTION: In a method of rolling the metallic sheet which is performed by using a rolling mill for metallic sheets having at least work rolls and back up rolls, in this method of rolling the metallic sheet and equipment for attaining this method, the work rolls are offset by taking the back up rolls as reference; forces which act on roll chocks on the work side and the drive side of the work roll on the offset sides, that is, offset component forces are measured, the difference between the offset component forces on the work side and the drive side is calculated and right and left asymmetric components of the roll opening-degree of the rolling mill are controlled on the basis of this difference.
