PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level wound coil (LWC), its manufacturing method and a wrapper for the LWC capable of solving a trouble such as catch on a transferring portion when a copper pipe is drawn out from the LWC in an ETTS system. SOLUTION: The pipe is constituted by a plurality of aligningly wound and traversely wound coil layers. In the manufacturing of LWC1A in which a coil of a m+1 layer is arranged on a coil of a m layer (when LWC1A is placed such that a coil axis becomes perpendicular to a placement surface, m is an odd number when winding starting is upper and an even number when it is lower) such that its winding starting end is fitted to an outer recessed part between pipes of the final winding of the coil of the m layer and the winding just before it, the starting end 1a of (k+1)-th (outer layer side) (k is a natural number) of the transferring portion 3A existing on a lower surface in placement is not shifted in a direction opposite to a winding direction of the pipe relative to the starting end 1a of k-th (inner layer side) and length of the transferring portion not shifted in the opposite direction is controlled.
