PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method for curing and diagnosing an inflammatory disease in a mammal including a human. SOLUTION: The method for supporting the diagnosis of the inflammatory disease in the mammal includes a process for detecting expression levels of polypeptides having at least 80% of amino acid sequence sameness with respect to the full length of the sequence number 9 of amino acid sequence, (a) in a test sample of a tissue cell obtained from the mammal, and (b) in a control sample of a known normal tissue cell of the same cell type, using Fab, Fab' and F(ab')<SB>2</SB>coupled to the sequence number 9 of polypeptide sequence, or a Fv fragment, a single chain antibody, an anti-idiotype antibody, a diabody and a linear antibody, or a multispecific antibody formed of those, and the high expression level in the test sample indicates the presence of the inflammatory disease in the mammal.
